Global shout-out!

countriesSince moving the blog, I’ve had to start over reaching readers and my traffic is very low at the moment. However, I am impressed by all the different countries and languages who have come by to visit. In honor of you, the Game Dame readers, as well as a salute to the global appeal of video games, I offer the following messages to my international friends…

  • Välkomnande och tack själv! Min groda är en hatt.
  • Willkommen und danken Ihnen! Mein Frosch ist ein Hut.
  • La bienvenue et vous remercient ! Ma grenouille est un chapeau.
  • Velkommen og takk skal du ha! Meg frog er en hat.
  • Welkomstgroet en merci! Mijn vors zit te hoed.

Please forgive and feel free to correct my non-English spelling/grammar above.

  1. greetings from Germany! the sentence above doesn’t make any sense, what would you like to say? have you tried Mint as statistics tool?

  2. Hi Till! Thank you so much for your comment! I was born on a US AirForce base in Germany but I can’t speak any German at all. What I was trying to say above was, “Welcome and thank you. My frog is a hat.” =) So I was being very silly, you see and you caught me! I haven’t tried Mint yet. I’ve been fiddling with Google Analytics. Do you like Mint better?

  3. Hi and thanks and wouldn’t a sheep be a better hat? And since I am a stickler for spelling right, I’ll give you the correct swedish one: Välkommen och tack själv! Min groda är en hatt. A very small mistake, but still ;)

  4. Natalie: You can try the Wordpress statistical plug-in as well. I installed it on my self-hosted law firm blog and it works fine. You should have a Wordpress code for their plugins from your Wordpress.com days.

  5. @Bluetiger: Yes, I like the sheep idea even better! Thank you for correcting my spelling which stinks!

@Steven: there are SO many stats plugins I’m not sure which one you mean. The one from “wordpress” was last updated in 2007 — will it still work with 2.7?

  6. This was the FYI on the plugin’s Wordpress page:

    # Version: 1.3.5
    # Other Versions »
    # Last Updated: 2008-12-5
    # Requires WordPress Version: 2.1 or higher
    # Compatible up to: 2.7-beta

This has a fairly recent update that I think you can use safely. Mine’s been running fine, but I’m not on 2.7 yet.
